The European Cruise Academy has been established for the purpose of planning, preparing and realizing Bachelor and Master Programmes for the cruise-ship industry. It is located in Rostock, Germany.
The academic course content is being developed and implemented in cooperation with the Wismar University of Technology, Business and Design within the framework of a public private partnership. The student benefits twice since his education is characterized by an outstanding practical and up-to-date know-how as well as an established academic basis and infrastructure.
The Department of Maritime Studies in Rostock-Warnemünde enjoys a high reputation in the education of seagoing personnel. This fact is proven and constantly ensured by the application of a quality management system. The Germanischer Lloyd Certification GmbH (GLC) has confirmed the accordance to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000. Moreover, the syllabus takes into account the requests of STCW95 to ensure the issue of Certificates of Competency.
A further body to assure the quality of education is the Advisory Board watching over the course content.
